Golf Tracker
A native iPhone and Apple Watch app that keeps score and records every shot with GPS, so you know how far you really hit each club.
Golf Tracker is the player app for a self-hosted golf backend. Pick a course and tee, then on each hole record hits with a club and one tap — on the iPhone or straight from the Apple Watch, which uses its own GPS when it is on the wrist where the ball is struck. Every write goes into a persistent, ordered offline outbox that retries on reconnect, so rounds survive a dead-zone back nine. Each round can also be saved as a Golf workout in Apple Health, with heart rate, calories and the walked route, and a consent-first onboarding makes the player agree to how their data is used before any location is requested.
Role
Solo build: SwiftUI iPhone and watchOS apps, offline sync, HealthKit, and API client — orchestrated end-to-end with Claude.
Outcomes
- iPhone and Apple Watch work together: hit locations come from whichever device has the freshest GPS fix.
- Offline-first outbox with idempotent shot ids, so a relay delivered twice still produces exactly one shot.
